“I?m sorry,” he whispered as he got off her and offer her a hand. He picked her up and all she did was stand there, she was speechless.
“Alex?!!” she heard her name but it seemed to her that it was miles away; she was nonetheless lost in those eyes that she found incredible.
“Alex, are you okay?” she finally realized it was Liz who was calling her,
The only thing that came out of her mouth was “Uh..yeah.”
But then she heard Sebastian and David running towards them, “Come on quiet boy, say some thing!” Sebastian said.
“Why you run away? We were just trying to be nice and be your pals, continued David obviously laughing at Jake. They approach Jake, who just stood there without having saying a word. Alexandria realized what was going on, these two jerks had already picked who to bully this year.
As David was about to grab Jakes collar, Alex went between them and nearly scream, “Live him alone.” She was quite angry, how could this two just go on and pick on everyone and no one ever tells him something? She had seen them bully others and just like this time she had told them off and defended those poor boys. But this was different they were messing with Jake, her Jake. Wait what was she thinking, her Jake? This was the initial time she had actually taken a appear at him. She snapped out of it and turned around to ask Jake if he was ok but he was gone. She looked both ways of the hallway but she didn?t see him.
Before anybody said anything else, the bell rang. Sebastian looked at Alex straight in the eyes finding near her face and whispered, “If you were a boy, your face would be completely rearranged at this point!”
She was about to say some thing but felt someone pulled her away, it was Jazz. “Hey, they are boys they do stupid stuff. We can?t alter the way they believe. You should just let them have their fun, and handle their own problems.”
“Wait, what? You?re saying I should just stand here meanwhile they pick on some poor innocent guy!” Alex responded angrily, “If you feel I?m going to do that then you don?t know me!”
Before Jazz could say something Alex rushed through the hallways and was pretty far away. Alex couldn?t understand, how could her best friend ask her to just sit back and watch how they bit up poor Jake? It was ridiculous.
She reached her very first period. A class she had since she was a freshman, where she met Liz and Jazz. It was a program that was supposed to support them be prepare for collage or something. She at 1st she didn?t want to join it, but her mother produced her. She started liking it after a although and since everyone had it because they had been freshmen, they all kind of became genuinely closed nearly like a family.
She took a sit on the back, unusual of her due to the fact she loved sitting on the front. But given that she was mad all she could do was get away from everyone. As she sat on an empty desk on the back row and looked across the room, she spotted him. Jake was sitting across the room, and considering that the room was broken into two both sides facing each other, she was able to notice that he was seeking at her too. She felt her cheeks turn a light shade of pink, and ahead of he noticed she looked down and concentrated on her nails.
“I am so so so sorry, Alex” she heard Jazz scream across the room, “Please forgive me, I didn?t mean to tell you that back there. I know that you simply have such a protective personality and you can?t aid it but care for others. I adore that about you, and I?m truly genuinely sorry.”
By the time she was done saying this she had already reached her desk and had pulled her up to a very tight hug. Alex hug her back, the last thing she needed was a fight with her best friend on the quite very first day of her senior year. “It?s ok, I?m extremely sorry too. It was this jerks fault that I got so mad,” she replied pointing at Sebastian who had sat next to her.
Sebastian looked at her and smiled; Alex stuck her tong at him and continue hugging Jazz. “Awwwww! Group hug!” Liz stated just when she saw Jazz and Alex hugging joining them. David swiftly turned around and saw them.
“Yes, group hug!!” he said in a girly voice making fun of Liz but join them anyways. Sebastian got up from his desk and joined the group hug.
“Too?tight?can?t?breathe?!” Alex stated from underneath all of the arms.
“Ok, ok break it off you guys!” they hear Mr. Robertson say. He continued, “I know I?ve stated we are like a family here but I didn?t mean it literally ok.” They all laughed and sat on their desks.
“How was your summer Robertson?” asked Brat. He was worst than Sebastian and David. That guy was a real jerk. He thought he was the hottest and baddest thing around. But in reality he was just some wanna be. Alex and him didn?t like each other simply because she was the only 1 that didn?t hold back. She would always let him know what he truly was, nothing. He had broken Liz?s heart and that meant that he would never be in her great side. Whoever messed with her pals messed with her.
“Well, it was wonderful considering I didn?t have to see your face all this summer,” responded Mr. Robertson in a playful matter. The entire class laughed but just before anyone could say anything he continued, “Ok, so this year we have added a new student to our program, Jake why don?t you introduce yourself?”
Jake rapidly got embarrassed but decided to speak anyways, “Umm?properly…I?m Jake, I?m?”
“He?s my best friend, huh Alex?” added Sebastian.
“Yes, Sebastian he is and you are going to be nice to him or I?ll kick you?re a?” just before Alex could finish Mr. Robertson cut her off and stated “Well, I?m glad you’ve got already met some of our class Jake. But ahead of Alex and Sebastian continue rudely interrupting why don?t you tell us some a lot more about yourself.”
“Well, I?m a musician and um I had been um genuinely interested in joining this program for a while but it never got the likelihood to fit it in my schedule until now.” Jake added.
“Very well then, it nice of you to join us we are all really nice here and we treat our peers with respect, so we hope you really feel comfortable here.” Mr. Robertson stated. “Ok, so you guys know that we have to start right away if we want to meet our deadlines, so I have a project for you guys and you guys are starting on it today.” The entire class complained but Mr. Robertson didn?t care he continued explaining the assignment, “Ok, before complaining let me explain. You guys will be paired up with one of your classmates. You guys will discover each other?s talents and come up with some cool activity to show it to the rest of the class.”
“So, like a talent show.” Ask Ruth a redhead who everyone knew was extremely talented with her voice.
“Yes, like a talent show.” Everyone started getting up and moving subsequent to someone but Mr. Robertson made everyone stop and stated “Not so fast kids, you guys are finding your partner assign. We are like a family here and I don?t know if you guys remember me saying just before you guys don?t pick your families, so go back to your sits.”
Everyone whined but obeyed and returned to their sits. Alex knew she wasn?t gonna get paired up with her friends, and much more likely she would get stuck with Brat jerk face who she hated with all her guts. So she decided to speak up prior to obtaining paired up with her worst enemy.
“Mr. Robertson,” she stated as the entire class went quiet. She felt herself slightly blushing but didn?t care, she took a deep breath and continues, “Well, I was thinking that considering that Jake is new and all, I could work with him, to you know help him feel much more comfortable. I think is a great opportunity to show us who he is and I?m pretty confident I could assist him if that?s ok with him of course.”
Mr. Robertson looked at her after which at Jake who smiled in approval, “You know what, that is an excellent idea Alex. Go on and sit subsequent to him you two are going to work together on this project.”
She went on and sat next to him. They looked at each other and smiled both blushing.
“Hi, I?m Alex,” she stated extending her hand to him.
“I?m Jake,” he responded smiling at her.
And this was a commence of an adventure filled with laughter, tears, and who knows maybe even somewhat of romance.
