“Popcorn?”, Ty asked soon after he had ordered a large amount of sprite, which he claimed he was addicted to.
“No, I?m fine.”, I shook my head. Fully ignoring my sentence, he bought a bucket full.
“So, your residence certain is impressive.”, he stated taking a sip from his sprite.
“Well, technically it?s not mine.”, I said and changed the subject fast. “So, what movie are we watching?”

“It?s some sort of a mixture between zombies and car-racing.”, he explained to me and his eyes lit up bright. I asked myself how such a mixture was even possible, but he payed so I couldn?t complain. He went on rambling concerning the movie, concerning the actors, that I barely knew, about the diverse form of cars as well as the CG- effects. I listened a lot more to the music coming out of the speakers on the ceiling.

“Jacky, quit!”, Ty stated, simply because I had walked past our cinema hall. He grabbed my hand, juggling his drink and also the popcorn on 1 arm, and led me to our seats. I rolled my eyes mentally, it couldn?t have been a lot more obvious to get closer to me.

By the finish of the movie I had eaten most of the popcorn, simply because of boredom and since I required one thing to stop me from laughing out loud at the car driving, sexy zombies in bikinis. When the credits listed I breathed out and looked at Ty, who was nonetheless caught inside the deep meaning as well as the enchanting atmosphere of the movie.

“Ty, what now?”, I asked, waving 1 hand infront of his face.
“Wasn?t this just the very best movie ever?”, he asked, his blonde hair hangin into his eyes.
“Sure, are we carried out, or do you’ve some far more plans?” I swear, he was the only person, except of Tess, that I had the heart to be mean to.
“Want some starbucks?”, he asked following my question had seeped to his brain.
“Well?okay.”, I stated, remembering that this was a date and it would be far more than rude not to come along.

So we went to a starbucks nearby and got us two cups of hot chocolate, simply because of the late hour. He was nonetheless rambling concerning the movie and I got a lot more annoyed by the minute.

After half an hour I yawned and tried to look sleepy.
That alarmed him. He stood up instantly and stated: ” Nicely, I guess it?s already late.” Looking at his mobile he added: “It?s half past eleven. Let me drive you home.”
At that moment I did like him somehow.

“See you Monday!”, he shouted out of the window of his car, even though I was going towards our door, searching for my keys. I’ve that sort of sickness, where I don?t uncover my keys no matter how I organize them. Triumphantly I identified them on the bottom of my bag. I tried to turn them as quietly as possible in the lock, not to alarm my brothers.

The entrance hall was dark and also the whole home was silent. I brathed out and tiptoed up the stairs to my room. Suddenly the light went on and I saw Aaron standing outside of his room.

“Hey.”, I said and tried to hurry to my room. But he stepped inside of my way. You need to know, that his room was subsequent to mine, to ensure that I needed to pass it.

“Where had been you?”, he asked and I suddenly felt a cold shiver running down my spine.
“Out? with a friend.”, I don?t know, why I lied to him.
“I know which you were out, but he was certainly not your freakish punk friend or the other one, the stupid red-head.”, he stated having a quiet, but furious voice.

I could let him get away with insulting me, but by calling my pals freakish and stupid he was going too far.
“You don?t have the appropriate to call them that way!”, I stated infuriated. “You don?t even know them!”
“That?s not the issue right now, is it?”, he shouted. “You had been out with the guy from the cafeteria!”
“What does it matter to you anyway?” I was so angry, I didn?t care anymore about my usual shyness.

“It?absolutely nothing, I just don?t like liers or you coming late home and waking me up!”, he tried to explain.
“You?re still wearing your clothes, you had been wearing these days.”
“Well?”
“Aaron, please cease it, I?m tired.” I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my arm.

He asked whispering, almost as silent as the wind: “Are you going out with him?”
I looked into his big blue eyes, whose expression I did not comprehend.
“No, it was just 1 date, he was begging for for weeks.” He let my arm go and I vanished into my room.

I woke up the next morning to see a cloudy day outside. My mood instantly went down.

Remembering the incident of the night just before, I decided that I needed to obtain out of the residence.

And not just nowadays, I required to get out of the home for forever and in two years, when I was 18, I finally could do, what I wanted to. I couldn?t take the unreasonable actions of Aaron or the silent death-glares of Nate anymore. I was not wished here, despite the fact that I truly liked Charlotte and Jonathan.

So first I truly required to uncover a job, to save dollars for the future.
I fished inside my drawer for a red skirt, going to the middle of my thighs, some black leggings, as well as a white shirt using a black print on it. Then I grabbed my jacket and ran into the kitchen, due to the fact I remembered, that I had put my pie there. I took it and hurried out of the door, exactly where I already could really feel some light raindrops falling on my nose, mixing with my freckles. Whilst going down the road, I ate the pie and a wonderful taste filled my mouth. Despite the fact that it was just apple pie, I hadn?t eaten anything the wonderful my whole life. None of the luxurious restaurants we went to at the birthdays of my brothers could get within the reach of that taste. I finished it too quick.

Some minutes later I got to a supermarket. Thinking, that it couldn?t hurt anyone, if I asked there for a job, I went in. I went to a cashier and waited until she realized, I wanted to ask her one thing.

“Excuse me, do you know by opportunity, should you have any jobs to offer a part-timer?”, I asked, when she nodded for me to speak.
“I?m sorry, you?ll have to ask the manager, but he?s currently not here. It is possible to come by on Monday, then he?ll be here.”

“Oh, properly, thanks anyway.”, I said and turned about disappointed. Those issues were constantly happening to me. I couldn?t count the times, I had asked for a job. Everytime some thing was wrong. I was too young, they didn?t have a job, the manager wasn?t there.

As I went out of the supermarket and to the parkin lot infront of it, I saw a mountain of products balanced by some legs with yellow tights. It looked quite dangerous and also the moment I got to that conclusion, the legs behind the products slipped on a puddle and landed on their butt. The products had been scattered across the asphalt.

I went to the individual, to see if she was okay. She was, just her yellow-laced dress was dirtied with all the brown puddle-water. And I knew her. She was the friendly owner of the little bakery, I was in yesterday.

“Oh, hello, dearie!”, she exclaimed. “You have tha talent to catch me in the most embarrassing situations!”
I smiled and helped her back on her feet. Together we picked the products up from the floor and put them into her pink smart, in which she barely fit in. Not to speak of the groceries.

“I haven?t met such a helpful person like you in a although.”, she told me, whilst climbing into her car. For some reason she leaned more than and opened the other door for me.

“You don?t look happy.” That was seemingly the argument, why I really should come with her. Having nothing greater to do I jumped in.
“Thanks.”, I mumbled.
“Sorry, hun, I didn?t catch your name, what was it?”, she asked me right after we had drove for some seconds.
“Jaqueline, but I prefer Jacky.”, I answered.
“My name?s Molly.”, she said and took her hand from the wheel to shake my hand.

“Nice to meet you!”, I said. “You are new here, aren?t you?”, I added.
“Well, yes. I believed you people here required one thing sweet! So I opened the “Happy Pie”.”, she told me.
“That?s genuinely considerate of you.”, I laughed.

“So, what had been you doing inside the supermarket, you didn?t buy anything, as significantly as I see.”, she looked at me with her blue eyes.
“I was asking for a job. I genuinely require 1.” I looked out of the window and noticed, that we were already infront of her bakery. The way was truly brief, but she required the car for the items she bought.
“Oh.”, she just answered.

While helping her unload the products, she was seeking at me all the time. I didn?t ask why.
As I carried the issues into the bakery the sweet smell reached my nose again, and I was thinking, that I could?ve spent whole afternoons just sitting there and looking at the wonderful cakes as well as the decorated furnishing.

Molly told me to put the groceries on the counter and that I need to wait for her for moment. I saw her yellow dress, which looked like a dress out of the 50?s, vanish behind a door.

While waiting, I looked around far more thoroughly than last time. There weren?t only tons of distinct types of cakes, pies, cupcakes and cookies, there had been as nicely sweets like rainbow-colored lollipos or meringues in white and pink. The lamps on the walls looked like ornates out of sugar and from the ceiling there were hanging flower-bouquets.

After a while I heard Molly open the door and turned around.
She was holding a beautiful blue dress with white dots and laces.
“This one?s for you!”, she said. I looked at her unbeleivingly.
“What? You?re giving me a dress?”
“Yes! I make all my dresses myself and for the daughter of my sister, but she grew out of it just before, I could give it to her.”, she told me. “You?re not that tall, sorry to say that.” She smiled. “So I think it?ll fit you very properly.”

“But?why?”, I asked, but she just put the dress into my hand and shoved me into the room, where she had been before. Apparently it led to the living room of apartment, which was little and messy with dresses and recipes and even two cats lying on the couches and on the old television. It had the very same colors as the shop.

I put the dress on and looked into a mirror, which was leaning at a wall beside the Tv. I looked really great in it, I needed to say, it was retro on chic and I felt like I would commence to sing soon some thing from hairspray. The dress was definitely perfect. It was laced with a white ribbon in the back of my waist. It went just down to the middle of my thighs and it was attached to a thin layer of lace underneath, which looked out a bit. It had brief, puffy sleeves as nicely.

I took my clothes in one hand and went back into the shop.
“Wow!”, Molly stated. “You?re stunning, small Jacky.”
“Thank you?”, I said blushing. I wasn?t beautiful. And no one had ever believed so, the individuals in fact were usually calling me ugly or nasty. “But, what should I do with this dress?” I really had no idea.
She smiled and her face lit up with excitement. “From these days on you?ll be helping me manage the “Happy Pie”!”
