Beth could picture her last day with Fin as if it had been only yesterday. It wasn?t yesterday, or even the day before. It hurt just as bad although.

Fin had been kicked out of biology class. Goofing about once more. Beth was in English. She peeked up from her paper work at the exact moment Fin decided to look into the class room window. He smiled his cocky smile at her and gestured for her to come outside. The sun was shining and Fin looked pleased. Despite her greater instinct to remain put in class, she got up and excused herself to the bathroom, with all her books in tow. Mr. Mathews looked at her funny as she left, but thought absolutely nothing of it. As far as he was concerned Beth Taylor was a superb student. Exceptional truly.
Beth ran frantically down the hallway, like she was getting chased, but with each and every step she could feel her heart lifting, her spirits rising. She smiled as she burst out into the sunlight. The breeze caught her hair immediately, lifting it up into a blond curly tornado. For a small instant Beth felt as although she may possibly be creating a mistake ditching class. The feeling passed as Fin put his arms about her, books and all.

Beth opened her eyes. A small stream of tears had managed to escape her clenched eyelids. She quickly wiped them away as if someone may well see. But no one would see. There was nobody property to care. She hugged the picture of her and Fin to her chest. She missed him.
