Mike Rush, who will be based in Preston, is going to be responsible for Willis Networks in Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland, although London-based Simon Taylor will look right after Central and Southern England and Wales.
Both will report to Phil Scarrett, managing director, Willis Networks.
With over 30 years of insurance industry experience, Mr Rush joins Willis from the Broker Network Group where he was regional director for Southern England, whilst Mr Taylor?is most recent role was as sales & marketing director for Primary Basic.
Willis Networks has also promoted Bernard Farrell from regional managing director for Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland, to overall revenue director.
At the same time, Simon Clegg and Jayne Bolton have been appointed as business development manager and regional operations manager respectively.
Separately, Willis Research Network has announced that two of its fellows have won an award in recognition of a tool they have developed that can visually analyse centuries of international storm activity.
The ?Discovery Award?at IEEE VisWeek 2010 honoured the ?Making Hurricane Tracks Accessible? project which was carried out by Dr Aidan Slingsby of City University London?is giCentre and Dr Jane Strachan at the University of Reading?is National Centre of Climate Science.
