Olympus Managed Health Care Inc., a leading provider of healthcare claims administration services and cost containment, today announced that Steve Stoute, a framework veteran insurance industry, has been appointed to Board of Directors of the company advisers. The board establishes and manages the strategic direction of the company.
Stoute brings nearly 50 years of experience in the insurance industry to Olympus Managed Health Care. He is currently President of SRS Consulting, Inc. specializes in technical support and advice for life and industry of health insurance. Before founding his own company, Stoute spent 49 years with the Sagicor Financial Corporation before retiring in March 2009. During his long tenure at Sagicor, he held several management positions including Senior Vice President, Secretary and Vice President Underwriting, and was responsible for introducing a number of product ranges including the health insurance. There was also a director on numerous subsidiaries Sagicor’s.

Former president of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean, Stoute continues to serve on its board of directors and is the current chairman of the conference. He was the founding president of the Institute of Caribbean Risk Managers and a longtime president of the vice of the Board of Trade of Barbados and Industry. Stoute has worked with many international organizations and agencies, served on LIMRA education Loma / and Training Council and the Commission of OPS on financing health care in the Eastern Caribbean. Stoute is also well known in the Caribbean region and beyond as administrator sport. He is president of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees, the President of Olympic Committee of Barbados and a member of a number of international sports organizations.
